We collect several types of data to provide and improve the Service.
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
May include your email address, cookies, and usage data. Used to contact you with updates, marketing, or other relevant information. You can opt out via email or unsubscribe links.
Usage Data
Includes your IP address, browser type/version, pages visited, time/date of visit, and diagnostic data.
Tracking & Cookies Data
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service and remember preferences. Optional analytics cookies are controlled through Cookie preferences, as described below. Blocking essential cookies in your browser may affect features such as signing in.

Analytics and Cookie Choices
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use our website and web app, identify usability problems, and improve Embedin. Clarity provides usage metrics, heatmaps, and session replays that reconstruct interactions with our pages, rather than recording your camera or microphone.
Data collected and shared
Clarity captures page content and interactions such as clicks, scrolling, pointer movements, and navigation, together with technical information such as page URLs, browser and device details, and session identifiers. This data is sent to Microsoft for processing. When analytics consent is granted in the web app, we also send an account identifier and, when available, your name to associate activity with your account.
Microsoft processes Clarity data under its own terms and privacy practices. Data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. For details about Microsoft's use of data, international transfers, and safeguards, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement and Clarity Terms of Use.
Your choice
Analytics cookie consent is denied by default. Choose Accept analytics to allow analytics cookies and cookie-based session continuity, or Reject analytics to leave those cookies disabled. We keep advertising consent denied in our Clarity integration. When analytics cookies are rejected, Clarity may still receive limited cookieless usage data, such as page views and basic interactions.
You can change or withdraw analytics cookie consent at any time using Cookie preferences in the website footer or the web app's account menu. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from using Embedin. Withdrawal changes future cookie use and does not undo processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Storage and retention
We save your cookie choice in local browser storage for 180 days, separately on the website and web app. Clearing site storage or using another browser or device may cause us to ask again. With analytics consent, Clarity uses cookies such as _clck to recognize a browser and _clsk to connect page views into a session. See Clarity's cookie documentation for more information.
According to Microsoft's published retention information, standard session recordings are retained for 30 days; favorite recordings and a selected sample may be retained for up to nine months. Heatmaps are available for up to nine months. These periods describe Clarity's analytics features; Microsoft's own processing is described in its Privacy Statement. Data Retention
We retain Personal Data as long as needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy.
Usage Data may be kept for shorter periods unless needed for security, functionality, or legal reasons.
Data Transfer
Data may be stored and processed in regions with different data protection laws. We transfer and handle your data securely.

Disclosure of Data
Business Transactions
If Embedin is involved in a merger or sale, your data may be transferred with notice.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose data to comply with laws or protect our rights, users, or public safety.
Security
We use commercially acceptable methods to secure your data but cannot guarantee 100% security online.
Do Not Track (CalOPPA)
We do not respond to Do Not Track signals. Configure this in your browser settings.

Service Providers
We may share data with third-party providers who assist in operating the Service. They are contractually obligated to protect your data.
Payments
We use third-party payment processors like Stripe. Your payment data is not stored by us and is governed by their privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party site content or privacy. Read their privacy policies before providing personal data.
Data Deletion Requests
To delete your data:
- Email support@embedin.com with subject “Data Deletion Request”
- Include your full name, account email, and data you wish to delete
- Verify identity if required
- We'll confirm receipt in 7 business days and process within 30 days
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy and notify you via email or on our site. Please review it periodically. Changes take effect once posted.
